Blissspace is a brand creating bespoke modular and semi-modular kitchens and wardrobes in Goa, India. Digitally Scrambled took over marketing from May 2020, in the midst of a nation-wide lockdown.
For the previous two years, the period of June-Sept saw the brand receiving negligible leads and sales on account of the monsoons. Digitally Scrambled was able to get 300+ high value leads during the off- season, even with an industry slowdown due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
This was done via digital platforms and resulted in a conversion rate of 4.75%, which translated to potential sales worth INR 10 Million!
The brand has a good offline presence with an office and showroom located at Panjim City, Goa. Though centrally located, it is quite a distance from dozens of places in both North and South Goa, thereby impacting sales during the 4-month long monsoon season coupled with two months of lockdown, prior to off-season. The brand needed to channel digital mediums in order to generate leads while growing their reach and brand name across the targeted audience.
Being a local service provider, Google MyBusiness was the strongest medium to reach the target audience. But this also results in limited exposure to a few PIN-codes. Another hurdle in lead generation was the fact that the modular furniture industry in Goa is a crowded space.
The website had been poorly designed and coded, with slow loading and without any specific goal to convert visitors into buyers. Almost 90% of the traffic was visiting the site from mobile devices, where the site UI was particularly low ranked in terms of CTAs and framework.
Once Upon A Trunk is a bootstrapped company in a crowded industry – e-commerce fashion. What set them apart was the fact that they were a marketplace for upcoming as well as established designers, mainly in the luxury fashion space. The brand competed against large, established brands/websites yet had little to no online presence and clumsy UI. While the brand was getting decent traffic online, conversions were low and ad spends were high.
Interestingly, consumers discovered new designers on the platform and then shopped directly with the designer, rather than through the Once Upon A Trunk platform.
Marquis Resort, Sinquerim is a 4-star property that has been in business for over 2 decades. Being on the ever-popular North Goa beach belt, demand for premium accommodation is high. However, due to the several dozens of hotels and home stays (offering everything from dirt-cheap to highly priced accommodation), standing out and building a wonderful online and offline reputation is as big of a challenge as winning over the net-savvy customer with plenty of choices at his fingertips.
Marquis Resort had paused their digital marketing activities for one year due to renovations and have recently resumed the same, in June 2019. We took over the marketing of the brand post renovation.
Bueno! came to us with a straightforward goal – to increase the sales of its 5 stores that provide premium laundry and dry cleaning services across Mumbai. When compared to the many local dry cleaning stores in and around South Mumbai, Bueno! services are comparatively extremely expensive. The brand wished to target both B2B and B2C segments. The website wasn’t suitable for marketing. Dominating local searches was one of the major challenges, given the size of Mumbai.
Foremost among the challenges of marketing Fixxo, was the fact that the brand has hundreds of authorized dealer-competitors and thousands of unauthorized dealers vying for a customer’s attention in Bangalore. Next, the brand is a hyper-local one, meaning it can only serve a limited number of PIN codes, so we needed to ensure that time, effort, and ad spend wasn’t wasted targeting areas that were unserviceable.
Thirdly, Apple has dozens of devices, models, and model numbers (iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 10 Max and so on) and problems (iPhone 6 Screen Repair, iPhone 7 battery problems, Mac keyboard issues etc.) – hence, we had to ensure that the brand appears for every single product-related keyword combined with every possible device-issue a customer would face.
Tarangi Resort & Spa was a new luxury resort in the heart of Jim Corbett, close to the famous Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, India. Having been completely destroyed during the devastating floods of 2012, the resort was completely renovated with a plan to make a comeback in April 2018. Tarangi has plush accommodation comprising 44 rooms, and two villas, offering comfort with a touch of rustic charm, coupled with panoramic views of the hillside as well as the magnificent Kosi River. The USP of Tarangi Resort is that it occupies the largest stretch of land of the banks of the Kosi River – 800 feet – more than any other resort in Jim Corbett.
Tarangi Resort & Spa contacted Digitally Scrambled only 30 days before their scheduled launch, to devise and executed a digital marketing plan that would increase website visitors and followers on social media channels, engage meaningfully with visitors and potential customers to gain positive reviews and recommendations, and most importantly, increase sales and bookings for the resort while building its reputation as a premium destination wedding venue.
- The website had negligible traffic and no social media channels had been set up.
- Third-party booking and review websites like TripAdvisor/MakeMyTrip etc. needed to be set up and managed professionally.
- All the content (including pictures) that was available online was of the old property (from 2012), which made the resort appear outdated when compared to the new resorts in the vicinity. These footprints needed to be replaced with new content all over digital channels and the web, in general.
- The resort needed to make up for lost time and for cash flow invested in renovation.
- Jim Corbett is a seasonal destination and tourists visit from April-July, and thereafter, from November onwards. We took up the project in March, and as the season was about to begin, we needed roll out a quick action plan that would result in swift bookings for the property, increase revenue to make the most of the high-traffic period, as well as begin ongoing campaigns to sustain a good brand name for Tarangi Resort.
